TOPIC: – STOP MOLESTING THE BLOOD OF JESUS. DATE:-17/11/2018
TEXT: – John 3:16
OUTLINE
When you beg for God’s Mercy and receive it but return to the same sin you have promised never to commit again, you are molesting the blood of Jesus Christ. In fact, most Christians now-a-days return to their sins most times without any remorse, but in days gone by when Christians fall into sin, they always wore long faces and were filled with remorse, they bitterly felt that they had broken the heart of their Lord.
CONTINUING IN SIN
It is very dangerous to continue in sin after asking for Mercy, some of the reasons why it is dangerous to continue in sin are as follows:
Death may catch up with you suddenly before you have another opportunity to ask for Mercy. Heb. 9:27.
Here on earth, God do punish Christians for their deliberate sins, Heb. 10:26
Continuing in sin means one is making a mockery of God but God cannot be mocked. The habitual sinner is only destroying himself or herself, Gal. 6:7.
Continuing in sin will definitely make you miss the rapture, Heb. 12:14; Matt. 24:42
The blood of Jesus will speak against all who molest it, Heb. 10:29.
The Lake of fire is the ultimate consequence of continuing in sin, Rev. 21:27; 20:11-15.
LOVING GOD
The only antidote to continuing in sin is loving God. When we love God we will not want to break his heart with our sinful lifestyles and attitude.
God is love. He loves us so much but His love has an expiry date, after death, His love turns into severe judgment unto the habitual sinner. God needs a friend and a lover. To Tell God that you love Him, you must do the following.
Change your negative attitude, preach to yourself! 2 Cor. 13:5.
Love what God loves and hate what he hates, John 14:15.
Live with the mindset that nothing is too much to sacrifice to gain eternal glory, Mark 8:37.
Note that nothing threatens God, Loving God is just for your own good, 1 Cor. 7:35.
Preach to others the genuine gospel, Mark 16:15.
You are surely going to meet with God someday (after death) Strength will deny you, beauty will deny you, education (knowledge) will deny you. You will be left alone to stand before God at the judgment throne and God will never accept any excuse.
CENTRAL TRUTH
God will take vengeance on all who molest the blood of Jesus Christ.
